Dr. Rawlinson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina Honors College in Columbia and completed his medical degree at the USC School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery residency at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton, Florida, and clinical fellowships in surgical critical care and trauma/acute care surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Board certified in surgery and surgical critical care, Dr. Rawlinson is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He also has additional certifications in advanced cardiac and trauma life support, advanced trauma operative management, advanced surgical skills for exposure in trauma and critical-care ultrasound. He recently served as an assistant of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, providing care to the sickest surgical patients in the hospital and immediate interventions in acutely ill and injured patients.
Dr. Rawlinson joins Lexington Medical Center’s network of care at Lexington Surgery to provide comprehensive surgical care to inpatients at Lexington Medical Center. Specializing in general and minimally invasive surgical procedures, the board-certified surgeons and highly skilled staff at this practice have decades of experience providing patients with continuous care from consultation through recovery.
