Dr. Dikranis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Connecticut in Storrs and completed her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She then completed her general surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Community Osteopathic in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Certified in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery fundamentals, Dr. Dikranis is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. She also has certifications in advanced cardiac, basic and trauma life support. Dr. Dikranis gained extensive experience during her residency in evaluating, treating and managing routine and complex surgical cases, including utilizing minimally invasive surgical techniques. She served on the Infection Control Committee and was chief resident of Academics at UPMC Community Osteopathic. She has also completed Da Vinci Xi robotic training with SAGES and Intuitive Surgical® in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, IL.
Dr. Dikranis joins Lexington Medical Center’s network of care at Lexington Surgery to provide comprehensive surgical care to inpatients at Lexington Medical Center.
